Maureen recently went back into the hospital for surgery. The doctors suspected there was a blood clot in her LVAD and it needed replaced. The LVAD was successfully replaced in June 28, 2023. Updates are about her condition moving forward from there!

On Monday, April 3rd during a relatively routine procedure, Maureen suffered a cardiac arrest. Eventually, she was transferred to the Cardiothoracic ICU at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. On April 13th, Maureen underwent surgery for LVAD placement. On Wednesday, April 26th, Maureen was transferred to a cardiac "step down" unit at Barnes. This page is maintained by her daughter, Roxanne, and her son-in-law, Derek. Please follow this page for updates on her condition.

Good News!

Maureen is back home! She is excited to no longer be at Barnes and get life back to normal. She has spent waaaaay too much time there since May.
