Matty has had a great summer since we’ve been back from South Korea! Lots of time spent with family and friends, loving the Lake Life on Lake Geneva. We’ve seen a bit of progress in his physical ability and that’s been encouraging to him and reassuring to all of us! We take life one-day-a-time and treasure every minute.

Trips to the doctor are still not his favorite thing, but Matty’s outlook is amazing and he pushes through with courage and a smile. Rick and I continue to be astounded at all of the wonderful resources that are offered through Northwestern Medicine Neurology and the Les Turner Foundation. We are also comforted to know that as Matty needs more resources of people and equipment, the Les Turner foundation will be there for us and thousands of other families, just like us.

We’re looking forward to getting our Matty Matters Team together and I am posting to all of our closest Caring Bridge friends and family first! Please mark your calendars for Saturday, September 29th at Soldier Field! Matty and team will be there again, raising money and doing our part to support the Les Turner Foundation. We would love to see everyone there!

I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it has been for Matty to receive all of your prayers and well wishes.  Each and every one of you give Matty the strength he needs to keep fighting! Thank you from the bottom of my heart…
