Newest Update

Journal entry by Matt Dial

So... I had scans back on May 3rd. They were the first ones that had been done since December, when I had a PET scan prior to getting the go-ahead for surgery. The CT scan at the beginning of the month showed no spread from my months-long hiatus, along with no "explosion" from surgery. That is the best way I can describe one of the potential risks of having surgery and possibly causing cancer to spread elsewhere.

So, no news is good news!

As for my liver, it is the same and in some tumor spots, slightly smaller. It's not a huge change, but I have only had two cycles up to this point. (I'm currently on cycle three.)

So, because of this, I kind of dragged my feet in writing a post. We've had a lot of life going on, so it always kept getting put on the back burner. So consider this my update about nothing! I'll continue to have chemotherapy on an every fourteen day schedule. The only thing that seems to be noticeable, is that I'm getting tired from it again. At least it seems like it might be the culprit. In the scheme of everything, it is very minor.

I shouldn't have any new news for a couple months, when we will do another CT scan to see what progress has been made!
