Mom's final round of chemo was Oct. 17.  This round had her feeling a bit more crumby than the others, so she was very glad it was the last one! 

She had a CT scan 2 weeks post chemo and it showed NO signs of cancer!  

She will be taking a med (niraprib) that decreases her chance of cancer recurrence from 85% to 50%.  We are hopeful that the side effects are minimal or non-existent.  

She will have blood tests done weekly for 1 month, then monthly for 6 months to monitor cancer levels.  Her port will stay in for 6 months so she can easily receive a transfusion or treatment if needed.   

We are grateful the bulk of her journey is complete and are hopeful that the next 6 months goes smoothly.
