How Mary is doing lately:
Mary had her 2 sisters here back to back for the last 3 weeks, she absolutely LOVED having them. Mary had one of her friends/co workers come visit her and bring her lunch the other day and Mary REALLY enjoyed having her girlfriend over.
Mary is still very tired some days. Which is all normal considering what her body is going through and fighting. But overall, she is still being a damn rock star! Taking everything pretty well. Her labs have been great! No transfusions so far. Mary still gets labs twice a week, that I take her too in St. Cloud.
Just the other day, I took her to get scans done in Minneapolis. As we are all anxiously waiting for results, this is what her update is at this time.
(as of today when she had a video appointment with her cancer doctor)
So..they are still working on things but the tumors have not shrunk, but they also have not grown, which is good because before chemo the were growing really fast. Because tumors have not shrunk doctor wants to start her on immunotherapy and Chemotherapy together next week. She thinks Mary is an excellent candidate for that. I'm not sure what day she will start but sometime next week. They still need to work out details. So the fact that nothing has grown is good news! Obviously it would be better if they had shrunk but it can take time. Her lung nodules are still very small so that is good. That's all we know at this time and I'll keep you updated as we hear more. If you have questions feel free to ask me or Mary! (She knows more sometimes)
Thanks again for all the love and prayers.
*I posted a cute picture of Mary at her labs with their therapy dog thats in the clinic.
Mary Strong 💜
