Mary’s Story

Site created on December 18, 2018

With great hesitation, I watch my hands put forth these first few words.  I wish I didn't have to tell this story at all and I can't even begin right now.  But more will be coming...

Strength doesn’t come from working out or being in the best shape in the world, strength comes from being humble and lowly in spirit enough to bend a knee and pray to the One that gives us life. Strength comes from deep within us as we go through trials and difficulties in life. Strength comes from the Lord. Without His strength, we are like ships in a storm, crashing into every obstacle. Our sails only work when we choose to Trust in Him. When we choose to Trust the One who not only walks on water but Who can still the waves. God tells us in His Word that He is always with us. He will never leave us. Never. There is nothing that will ever separate us from His love. And He will go before us, preparing a way. He will fight battles for us. The only thing He requires of us is to trust Him. Have faith in Him. Give Him all honor and glory. He IS enough.

I have seen this strength in Mary and Fred as they continue to wait for results of tests.  As the Holy Spirit leads, they've shared how at peace they are with the path that is before them. Trusting in the Lord for everything.

Father, we may not understand why Mary must endure the pain and discomfort that she has and is going through, but we do know that for every painful thing we live out in our lives, You have a plan. You will use everything we go through for good. And as Mary continues on this journey of discovery, I fervently pray that you will bring healing only you can give, that through this maze of uncertainty, you will continue to empower all of us to boldly approach your throne of grace. Holy Spirit come and have your way!
In Jesus name, Amen.
