SHE DID IT!!!!  She crossed the finish line tonight.  There was a time when we weren't sure she was going to continue the radiation treatments after she landed in the hospital.  And we didn't blame her for not wanting to.  But after a 2 week hiatus, she decided she would finish the last 7 treatments... 30 total.  And she was determined.  Her whole family is so proud of her.  It hasn't been easy, by any means.  She is very tired, weak, and still having trouble swallowing.  But she completed the full recommended regimen.

Everyone surprised her and came to Texas Oncology while she was in the radiation room.  When they brought her out, we threw confetti and cheered for her.  She was so happy to see us all there, even Stetson (5) and Steiner (2).

She will have scans and labs the first week of June and hopefully she will be feeling more like her old self.  Then we will see Dr. Chadha (Lead Oncologist) on June 8th for the results and any follow-up.

Thank you for your calls, visits and prayers.  They keep her spirits up.
