Hello friends and family
On December 11th at 5:15pm Mary Lee passed away peacefully with myself and dad by her side holding her hands and were with her every step of the way home to the Lord. Our prayers and love lifted and carried her home. I am filled with gratitude for our week and a half we were able to spend with her and have many memories of talking to her and sharing stories and writing/reading letters to her. I will remember her as my spunky, fun, and loving mom, and as the most caring and beautiful soul I’ve ever met. Anyone who was blessed to encounter her or know her would agree she has a fun and loving spirit about her. I remember her as the picture of us on this website where we look so much alike.
The amazing nurses, doctors, and palliative care nurse practitioner at the ICU helped us so much through this time of ups and downs in the hospital. We feel comfortable that we traveled every avenue to give mom the opportunity to heal, but unfortunately her body was tired and exhausted and her lungs were not improving. Dialysis was a decision we made to give her time to see if her body would start on a path to recovery, but even that was starting to be a challenge for her. On Friday after 16 hours of being on her stomach, they tried to put her on her back again and her oxygen dropped so much they had to put her back on her stomach. It was time, and I think she was telling us she was ready. Dad and I were at peace, and I felt your prayers carry me throughout the day.
Thank you everyone for your kind messages, texts, and calls to support myself and my family.😊 Please continue to pray for her soul.
