Journal entry by Mary Knepper —
Today I am so thankful to live in America, to be able to freely practice my faith, and for the hope I continue to have.
Guys, I have really been through it. I cannot even recall everything that has happened and in what order. I had a reoccurrence which identified that my cancer spread to my liver. In an effort to identify any possible changes to my tumor markers my MD Anderson team ordered gene testing through a lab in Boston. The testing offers the opportunity to provide the best treatment available for my type of cancer.
After the liver biopsy on March 20, 2024 I had four different visits to St. Tammany Parish Emergency Room. Medications have changed, my local
Oncologist relocated which resulted in me getting a new local Oncologist. I started a new IV chemo at MD Anderson, called Enhertu, and I will receive it every three weeks. I also had two infusions, and had an eardrum rupture earlier this week.
So much sickness in the past few weeks, accompanied by so much stress it is truly taking its toll on me and my family.
I just finished seeing my oncologist at MD Anderson. The new chemo seems to have me moving in the right direction. Amen! I will have chemo soon and then hope to head home.
Please, my dear friends, family, those who like me and those who don’t, new friends, life long friends, and those who believe I can be healed. Please pray for me. I beg God for healing for my family, for healing of my body and my soul, and for acceptance of God’s Will.
