Journal entry by Cynthia Barber —
It sure has been a while since I have posted. We have had a lot of great times over at Pioneer Care keeping her entertained outside on the patio, going down memory lane, connecting her on zoom to family and laughing with grandchildren. I want you to stay forever and ever but I know you will just someday in a different form. Now that Mary is on hospice, we are blessed they won't be moving her - she is going to stay right at Pioneer Care and continue to help her feel comfortable.
Let me remind you, she is still feisty as ever. That's my grandma! When we give her a hand she says I can do it, I have done it all my life. It is hard with the dementia and bad eyesight that she will forget that she just ate or saw someone. Amazing though how she can still tell those stories deep embedded in all the memories in that brain. Alexa and KK like to hear the old stories about the Cyclone and being born in the house. Some great photos to post soon from all of Michelle and Jeanie visits, Rebecca, Michael, Jennifer and the kids and I to just name a few. Thankful for every moment we have.
