Newest Update

Journal entry by Diana Mcloughlin

Happy New Year! Wanted to give a recent update, we have had wonderful holidays much to celebrate and be thankful for this year compared to last year at this time! Mary is doing good, still gaining strength and energy back. She goes to the doctor once a week now and will for a while. She was not able to tolerate oral magnesium yet so when she goes in she receives IV magnesium and they check her blood levels. Mary is about to reach 180 days post transplant!!! She will have a bone marrow biopsy next Wednesday the 8th to make sure things are still looking good. She should start receiving her immunizations soon. When you are a transplant patient your treated like a new baby so she will need all immunizations again just like a newborn. She is so strong and hanging in there. Long road still for full recovery but blessed she is doing so good. Continued thoughts and prayers always appreciated! Thanks
