Journal entry by Mary Banta —
Everyday is an opportunity to shine for Jesus. We have the option to choose faith or fear, discouragement or joy, to ask others to join us in prayer or to walk through this life alone and isolated. Andy and I choose to seek light, life, joy and the power of prayer. God has answered our prayers every step of this cancer journey. Not all our prayers have been answered in the way we thought we wanted. We know we do not see the whole picture and we are thankful that God provides the answers that are best for us. Our confidence comes from our experiences and knowing that the Bible tells us God is good and He gives good gifts to us. If you would like additional details about our experiences we are happy to share one on one. Andy and I are praying our faith remains strong and God is glorified through our lives.
As the result of recent testing our medical team has discovered a “suspicious” lesion in my left breast. A biopsy is scheduled for June 17th. We know that our power is through prayer so asking that you join us in asking that the lesion is benign. We are also asking for accuracy for our medical team as they obtain the tissue and perform testing on it. My current activity level and state of feeling good are both a testimony to the many prayers all of you have said for us. We remain at peace and continue to have grateful hearts for your support.
P.S. The first week in June is my scheduled 3 month post chemotherapy blood work and CT scan. Our prayer is that the ovarian cancer remains inactive.
Blessings,
Mary & Andy
