Mom left us last year today. Still difficult to believe that she is gone. Time has healed, and so do kind words, gestures, support, and prayer.
Thank you.
Mom was was the kind of person who would give and give and give. One day, we went to the laundromat and it was raining. We both were wearing matching black waterproof windbreakers. We saw a gentleman who was making his home near the back of the facility. She went up to him, gave him a lot of quarters, and the windbreaker off her back. I’ll never forget that how she didn’t even think twice to give. She gave even when you refused. :) This type of gesture was repeated many times with different individuals. Strangers and family alike.
