Quick update now that surgery is gone and passed...
Monday (day of surgery) we finally talked to the hospital at 7:45pm and they had just gotten mom up to her room. Visitation ends at 8pm so I booked my dad over to the hospital so he could see mom for a few minutes. She was in a good amount of pain and pretty groggy that night.
Tuesday and Wednesday were a bit better. We were informed that visitation was limited to 2 people so we were both able to go up there at the same time. Much better than 1 at a time! Mom's still in a good amount of pain but thats to be expected. The goal is to get her started on clear liquids by tomorrow and hopes she can keep it down. She will be in the hospital a minimum of 7 days then the rest just depends on her strength and healing on when she can be released.
She does have her phone with her now as well so she has access to calls, texts, Facebook, and all that. Though if she doesnt respond to you right away shes probably sleeping 😴. She gets in some snoozes throughout the day ... I think all the meds help with that.
Dad and I are headed back to Hazen now to get back to regular life for now. So now we wait for mom to build up some strength and let her body heal itself well enough so we can bring her back home!
