I’m not going to drag out the news in this update because it’s just too good! This week, on Tuesday March 12th, I was told I have officially reached complete remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma!!! All glory to God!!

Now for the details of how this came about. Since my last update I have had 1 cycle of chemo and a PET scan. I was supposed to have 2 cycles of chemo then a PET scan, BUT GOD. He had other plans. The cycle of chemo that I did have was administered the way I described in my previous post. Splitting the dose of the “red devil” chemo with the heart protectant. Praise God my body tolerated that better and I haven’t had another tachycardia! Even though I was tolerating treatment, my doctor still wanted me to be evaluated at MD Anderson. The oncologist I met with requested an updated scan which was then scheduled for March 11th.

Going into the scan we weren’t really sure what to expect. Honestly, I had this whole attitude that the results were not going to be good. The day after the scan I had a call with the MDA oncologist to go over the results. He said after he looked at the findings, he ended up showing them to multiple other oncologists at MDA because the results were so surprising. After all the oncologists looked at my scan, they all came to the same conclusion, NO EVIDENCE OF ANY DISEASE.

As you can imagine, I was in complete shock and some disbelief since I had just thought the results weren’t going to be good. Just goes to show you that you have no idea what God has planned. The oncologist at MDA finished the appointment by saying he would like me to finish the Hodgkins Lymphoma treatment protocol. That protocol is 6 total cycles of chemo and I have only had 4 at this time. So, starting next week I will finish the last 2 cycles of chemo. Once I am finished, I will do 1 more PET scan that will be, as the doctor explained it, my “final report card”.

Even though it has been a couple of days I still feel like I am processing. One minute I am rejoicing and excited and the next minute I am questioning everything. Like “is it really gone?” or “is what the doctor said true?”. Before I got the news on Tuesday, Proverbs 3:5-6 was put on my heart. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight”. Even though sometimes I don’t understand it, I am choosing to trust God. God is above all, even chemo itself. He doesn’t need chemo to heal. In His timing He is lifting this storm.

Thank you all so much for the continued prayers and encouragement!!! Love yall!!
