Marlin’s Story

Site created on May 29, 2018

As many of you know, Monday, May 28, 2018 my dad was up in a tree trimming some branches and he fell out of the tree. He fell at least 30-35 feet. He landed on his right foot. He was transported by ambulance to Columbus first. They did some xrays and assessment and realized his injuries were beyond their capabilities. They gave us the option of him being transported to Tupelo or Jackson. The University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson was chosen. He was flown there by helicopter. The xrays show that his right pelvis is broken, 2 burst lower vertebra, his tailbone is broken, 2 bones in his right leg below the knee and almost every bone in his right foot. Also 9 fractured ribs.

Hi this is me! I/we are Thankful for the healing that has been happening over the past months! Amazing, but slow at times! I am still experiencing some pain in my right ankle when I walk as well as swelling but it is getting better each day! I am limping a little bit yet. My back is doing fine and still getting stronger. No brace any more. While I am recuperating we decided to take a few trips before I get back to work! Kansas Missouri, Canada and Louisiana.
Thanks again to each and everyone of you who have helped us and cheered us on and up with your prayers and well wishes from the beginning!! I am very thankful to God for my healing and to all our friends and family who have helped us/me through this difficult time! Marlin.
