Journal entry by Ashley Scheffknecht

Marley is doing great.

Since surgery day she has had her chest tubes removed, breathing tube taken out, many IV’s taken out, able to feed again (still in her g-tube), we have been able to hold her, started and taken off most meds, wean CPAP (respiratory support), great results on her echo, any many more accomplishments.

She is the talk of the floor! Everyone comments on her beautiful pigtails with her bows, how stinking cute she is, how she’s kicking ass and taking names etc.

We still have a ways to go and probably another week minimum from what we’re hearing from the doctors.

We thank everyone for their continued support. Many have reached out and asked how they can help support us more, and one way to do so is meals. With one of us at the hospital everyday and some days both are at the hospital, both working full time, 2 other kids it can get tricky to do meals and this is one way we have found that is super helpful. I will post the link for sign up if you are wanting to help provide a meal.

We thank you for the continued love and support.
