August FB post by Mark “Hi to all my Facebook friends and family. I want to share some news with all of you. On Friday the 19th I was diagnosed with Leukemia. I was told this could happen years ago and it has. I am up for it and have world class Dr.s on the case.I know many people care so I wanted you to know. I'm doing just fine but any thoughts and prayers are welcome.”

Mark is fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
He was recently receiving treatment that wasn’t working. On the day he was scheduled to begin a different regimen he was rushed to UofM hospitals for emergency surgery for internal bleeding. 11/11 He had esophageal varices banded and bile duct stents replaced. He’s recovered enough to begin chemo treatments 11/18 in the hope of being able to get a bone marrow transplant. He’s tolerating the infusions well so far.

Please encourage Mark and Debbie with prayer, messages and any help.

Journal entry by Jeff Allram

We were so happy that Mark could attend Mary’s celebration of life last Friday as he continues to build strength and gain energy back as he continues a new course of a different chemo treatment. His hair is growing back nicely too!😎 Imaging coming soon to see what’s next for him.
He was able to catch up with many friends from his hometown of Ridgeland.
Keep it up Mark!
We’re rooting for you!🥰
