Hello

My name is Barbara Moran I am very very happily married to Mark Moran.  Mark has been dealing with Epilepsy for the past 50 years of this life.  This means that he has only be without Epilepsy his entire life until he was 8 years old.

A little back ground.  Mark and I have been together for 33 years and will be married 32 years in August.  He has had active seizures since before we met.  I knew of this fact before I even laid my eyes on him.   I was and am all about getting to know  a person before you make judgments .  I am so very happy that I did because it turned out the night I met Mark I met the LOVE of my LIFE.

Mark has had a really tough time of the past many years with dealing with Seizures and the limitations it put on his life.  During, the 33 years we have gauged out lives to revolve around the sudden changes and limits Epilepsy can put on your life.   Mark has not been able to drive for the past 25 years.  He also has not been able to work.  Mostly we have been a one income family that was able to raise 4 wonderful children because Love can beat all and we have had that fact on our side the entire time we have been together.

Mark has had many limits on what he can and cannot do but it never stopped him from being the most amazing husband and father and taking care of his family with what he can do he was a stay at home Dad and is a large part of the reason they are the amazing adults the grew up to be today.  They are always there for us at any given moment.  We have a Love for each other that cannot be measured.

We have let downs over the years, many hospitalizations for various health reasons one of which was  a Brain Surgery back in 2009.  The were all about him having Brain surgery to stop the seizures back then as well.  However, once they completed the first part of the surgery which is  where they remove part of the skull and place grids on his Brain and then run multiple tests only to discover that the part of the Brain they were focused on for causing the seizures any further Surgery was not possible it was too dangerous.

Fast forward 10 years there have been new developments on the Surgery and if they cannot remove the part of the Brain that is involved there is a device they can put on the area to stop the seizures before they develop.   One thing that Mark wants to experience in his life is to not have to worry about having a seizure at any given time.  Also, to be able to do something without the eyes of the world on him in case of a seizure.  I want that for him as well so very much .

So, that is a little bit of the back story of where we are today.  There are 10 days left until the surgery is here.  I don't mind telling everyone I am scared out of my mind.  I also try to look at things in the positive too it would be something far worse I will take what God as put in our paths I know that with this Love and Strong Faith and Prayer we do have a chance.
