Journal entry by Matthew Moran

We are officially one week away for surgery.   Mark has been living with Epilepsy as part of his life for 50 years.  It has not always been easy.  It does affect you path in life.  It is a little harder when you can't drive.  When you are young you walk everywhere.  Then as you get older you may have to rely on family and friends this is not easy.  It is not easy when you can't work because of the frequency of the seizures.  Mark has dealt fairy well with these facts but there are days when it takes a toll.   He has such high hopes for this surgery to finally finally stop all of these circumstances for him.

Mark and I are blessed with a wonderful loving family.  They have been there to help offer support every step of the way.  It is not just our little family our extended family.  They always look out for him even it is just making sure he takes his medicine or blocking bright lights and just keeping an open eye.  As I am righting this and thinking about all of them my heart is just busting for how much I love them all and how lucky we are for each and everyone of them.

So, the surgery is supposed to take 4 to 5 hours and then he will be moved to Intensive Care so the real work will begin Friday.

Just keep the Prays and Love Flowing and I will telling a little more of our story each day.  This is very therapeutic for me writing this Blog because I feel the love all of those around us.  What better Therapy is there than this.
