Journal entry by Susan Schuler

Mark came home last Thursday and is very happy to be back home after almost 9 months of being away.   Our main floor bed room suite has been remodeled to better accommodate for Mark's needs.  Thanks, to our Carpenter Jason Buis, Dennis Electric, Bogott plumbing, Heating and AC.  Supplies and design from Frary Lumber in Fulton.  The Aluminium ramp was paid for and installed by Mark's friends and High School classmates.  We have had CNA's in the mornings every day this week, but no one scheduled for Thursday - Sunday.  Our good friend, Lana comes up at night to help me get Mark into bed.  Volunteers to sit with Mark are appreciated, enabling me to run errands and not worry.  Some readers may not know the outcome of Mark's injuries he sustained in September.  Unfortunately he is a Quadriplegic with Spasticity.  Mark is able to move all extremities to various degrees, with the left side of his body effected more.  Lifts are used to make transfers from bed, shower chair and wheel chair.  Mark's left eye was damaged, with the artificial lense being displaced to the inside corner of his eye and the Cornea was scratched severely causing scar tissue.  The chance of having any success for better vision is very low.  He is learning to adjust to very poor vision in his left eye.  Thank you to all who have prayed or donated to Mark's Go fund me account.
