Journal entry by Mark Nunberg —
Hi Everyone,
I returned to work at Common Ground Meditation Center and taught for the first time in several months this morning in front of 100+ people in the meditation hall and 110 people on zoom. It felt so good to be with the community again. I am very grateful for all the support from the Common Ground community that made it possible for me to have had this 3+ month time for healing and way too many medical appointments.
Wynn and I had lunch with two dear friends on April 11 to celebrate my 66 birthday (see photo). It was so nice to be socializing at home without masks. Of course, we were outside and I was sitting some distance away, but still very nice to be spending time with friends after so much isolation these past several months. My last Lung CT scan looked good so I am finally off of my anti fungal medication used to treat the lung infection! I have just three weeks left with the steroid Prednisone medication. I am looking forward to weaning myself off of this and other medications in the coming months. I still have back pain and weakness but I seem to be getting stronger. I am doing my best to be a good student and do my daily Physical Therapy homework.
Peace,
Mark
