Journal entry by Josiah & Kristina Scheumann

We just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your support and prayers over the past few months, and especially for your prayers the past two weeks. Losing a loved one at the holidays is difficult, but we have been so blessed by the care, love, support, and prayers we have received! There were definitely tears shed this week as we honored Dad, gathered as a family, and as we celebrated Our Savior coming to earth as a baby. Tears of sadness, tears of joy, tears of gratitude...
To all of you, and to the 450 people who came out to celebrate Dad's live and God's goodness last week - THANK YOU!

Since Dad's Celebration of Life on the 18th, my 2.5 year old Lucille has decided that "Christ Our Hope In Life And Death" is her favorite song... Let me leave you with her favorite lines:

"Unto the grave, what shall we sing?
"Christ, he lives! Christ, he lives!"
And what reward will heaven bring?
Everlasting life with him
There we will rise to meet the Lord
Then sin and death will be destroyed
And we will feast in endless joy
When Christ is ours forevermore
O sing hallelujah!
Our hope springs eternal
O sing hallelujah!
Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death"
