Mark Hansen, 60, born in Mankato, Mn, passed away, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer on July 7th 2022,  in Cambridge, Mn.

Born to Don and Sandy Hansen on October 8th 1961. He attended High School in Cambridge, Mn and graduated in 1980.  Fondly referred to as “Hebner” in school, Mark was involved in theater, band, choir as well as musicals. He played hockey and baseball and was an avid skier. Mark was married in 1984 and from this marriage, Daughter, Lindsay (1986) and Son Mitchell (1989) were born. Mark worked with his father and brother, with Hansen Land Surveying for over 40 years, and was passionate about his work and the time spent with his father and brother. Mark received his bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State in Registered Land Surveying. He was married to Gerti Annis in 2004. with this union, Denise Johnson and Nicole Annis, Gerti's two daughters joined the family.  

Mark was active in his community and had many friends and connections. He enjoyed hunting and  spending time hiking, camping and taking trips up the North Shore with Gerti. Dad had a strong singing voice and loved Karaoke and was a dedicated member of  the worship team at New Hope Community Church for 15 years and most recently at Word of Life and The Bridge Outreach. Dad's deep faith and involvement with these churches brought him great joy as he loved serving others and serving the Lord. 

Mark is proceeded in death by his Grandparents, Aunts and Uncle. 

Mark is survived by his wife Gerti Hansen, his children Lindsay Hansen (Keith Koroschetz), Mitchell Hansen, Denise Johnson (Jason Korbol) & Nicole Annis. His parents Don & Sandy Hansen. his sisters Lisa Hansen & Kristin Jacobson (David Jacobson). His Brother Ryan Hansen (Tressy Hansen). His niece Olivia Jacobson & Nephews William Jacobson & Carter Hansen. 

Mark's family would like send a special “Thank You” to MN Oncology as well as the Care Teams at Cambridge Hospital and Allina Hospice – who all doted on Mark and gave him the best care. 

Memorials and Flowers may be sent to New Hope Community Church in Cambridge, Mn. 

Mark's Celebration of Life is on July 23rd at New Hope Community Church. The Visitation begins at 9:30am, and the Service will start at 10:30am.
