Mark’s Story

Site created on April 4, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Mark had surgery to remove what we thought to be a painful cyst on March 11, 2020. The surgery revealed that this was actually a cancerous tumor. Thankfully it had not reached any organs yet. The plan is to treat this with chemo, radiation, and an additional surgery to ensure all cancer is wiped out in his body. We ask that you pray for Mark, his family, physicians, and all care providers as he embarks on this journey.

Journal entry by Christy Cader

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out to us this week. Whether visiting, bringing food, coming Tuesday, calling, texting, Facebook and Caring Bridge comments - however you did I sincerely thank you even if I was not able to respond to you. God has shown up in a MAJOR way this past week. And I am certain it was because of the prayers that were being sent our way. We are all ok right now - just exhausted. Even when you eat and sleep (which I have) it is still exhausting. So please pray for all of us to regain some strength and continue to feel God’s hand on us as we go forward from here. I’ve never felt so much love like I have these past two weeks. I’m at peace knowing Mark is feeling even more love right now in heaven. More than we can wrap our heads around. Much love to you all from the Cader family. ❤️
