Mark had his follow up appt. with Dr. Speeg, one of the post-transplant hepatologists.  Mark is doing exceptionally well!  All lab work is normal!  Mark is gaining strength daily.  I had no idea he would do so well.  Dr. Speeg spoke about the amazing results achieved with living donor liver transplant.  The donor and recipient are so well matched that the recipient has an optimal chance for success with less than 2% complication rate in the donor.

We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be part of the living donor process.  Carlisle is a hero for saving Mark’s life.  This selfless act of courage and love toward another human being has got to be one of the greatest!

Mark is going home to our ranch today.  He will have follow up appointments every 2 weeks!
