Welcome to Mark’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportMark has had 2 dialysis treatments. The 1st one was not great, lots of muscle cramping and dizziness, lasted a couple days but then they adjusted a couple things at his next appointment and it went much better! We are at his 2 nd chemo treatment now. Dr talked with us about how his blood work looked after his 1st treatment....numbers are looking good. Creatine (kidney function) was down to 5.2 from 6.2 (normal is 0-1), hemoglobin was up to 9.2 from 8.5 (normal is 14) white blood count remained normal and red blood count made some improvement. His weight is down 4 pounds but they say that could be from the dialysis sucking all the bad stuff out of his blood. We remain a bit guarded because when he started his other chemo treatment, the numbers looked better after the first few treatments as well. So we will continue to work on our positivity, I do have to say being cooped up in the house doesn’t not really help anybody’s spirits but we are working on figuring out what we can do to get active. I really believe as he starts to feel better we will try to get outside for some walks, fresh air would be good for us.
take away from this post is that mark is doing good. He has had some harder days recently but we have such a great support system from our friends and family and right when he needs it a friend will text or call to check in on him....and he needs that. I’m just his wife, lol
thank you again for all the thoughts and prayers, thank you for the words of encouragement and the Bible verses that are shared with us. It probably doesn’t surprise anyone when I say they always come at the right time
