Hello Family & Friends,
It is with great joy that I share Marius's homecoming! Marius was released from Courage Kenny yesterday after making remarkable progress in their acute care rehabilitation program. Marius is able to walk short distances without an assistive device and can navigate quite well using either a cane or walker. He is able to quickly recover after exertion and is gaining strength daily. I was invited to observe his therapy sessions on Monday, Feb. 8th and his medical team shared how impressed they have been with his determination to get well!
Now that Marius is home, he will be visited by Home Health Care for 2-3 weeks until he has the stamina to travel to outpatient therapy.
Marius maintains his sense of humor and love of life. It is such a wonderful gift to have him home. I was able to hug him yesterday for the first time since October!!!
We are anxious to be able to visit in person with family and friends, however, in the near-term need to be sensitive of Marius's risk of exposure to re-infection.
We are thankful to God for walking with us on this miraculous journey.
We are thankful for your love, support, and encouragement. May God Bless each of you.
We wish each of you a Valentine's Day that is filled with love, joy, and wonder!
Thank you, Jennifer
