Marilyn’s Story

Site created on May 29, 2022

On Saturday, 21 May, Marilyn suffered a stroke while on a snorkeling trip near La Paz, Mexico. After a bumpy hour long boat ride to the closest access, an ambulance carried her to an excellent hospital in La Paz. However, the bleeding was not stopping, and Marilyn underwent neurosurgery to stop the bleeding. Her life was saved and she was put  in an induced coma to allow her brain and body to rest and heal.
Alas, swelling and new bleeding began to damage her brain.  She was transported to the US, closer to family. Nevertheless, more damage occurred,
On Monday morning, 06 June 2022, surrounded by family and the love and prayers of countless friends, Marilyn’s time among us ended. She now serves her Savior from the front row among the faithful who have gone before us.
Glory to God for all the healing and prayers and blessings and care that continue to hold her family!
