Greetings Family and Friends!

It’s that time again - every other month we make a full check-up with the doctor at Abbott. If I have questions at any time, phone calls are always available. Today the MRI was scheduled for 7:00 am. We had a little time before visiting the doctor, so we always have a light breakfast at Panera at the hospital.  9:30 we met with the doctor.

Once again I am SO thankful!  Looking at the MRI shows no change of the brain today.  In all honesty, each time I make this visit I have lots of thoughts;  ‘how long’ or ‘what if’?  The mind can take you many places, that’s for sure!  Today is certainly a blessing.

Today is almost two years since the day I had what they consider symptomatic - my brain was confused in the early morning.  Fortunately, I didn’t have pain and I didn’t try to leave the house.  A lucky thing is that I have a security system - and that morning the system alerted the sheriff's office who arrived minutes after being called. (Thank you, sir!) Between the sheriff’s office and my daughter, the shrill noise was cleared. I’ll always be so thankful for being taken to the hospital. And between the doctors in Willmar and then Abbott, I’ve certainly been taken care of.

Until recently I had a few headaches - not all the time - and it would last a minute or so. It’s new and certainly made me think, made me wonder.  I hoped it’s maybe the weather or something, and not a movement in the brain.  Maybe I can blame the cups of coffee I enjoy!

Other news! May 1, 1976 - a special day - our wedding!  You might have seen a story in Facebook.  Having memories builds so much in our lives. We may have lost the life of special people, but the memories are powerful!  May 10 will mark 12 years since Al died of double hit lymphoma. Thoughts of Al are more of the powerful memories.  I’m so thankful and we’re blessed in many ways.

Our family is already looking forward to lake time over the 4th of July. We started going to Deer Lake in northern Minnesota when Andrea and Adam were little! Now we have bigger families, including grandkids, that enjoy the lake with us. We like to swim, but we love to fish!  Maybe I’ll have some fishing story when I make the CaringBridge message in July!

Once more I thank you for taking time to read this. I’m so thankful for messages I receive! It’s always so encouraging and it makes all the difference of a day and of the time.  The Lord has provided so much and each day is a true blessing.

Until next time,

Love, Marie
