Maria’s Story

Maria was diagnosed with stage IV adenocarcinoma (non-small cell lung cancer) in November 2018. Before her diagnosis, the cancer had metastasized to a shoulder bone, the brain and spine (leptomeningeal disease), liver, and an adrenal gland.

Maria passed away peacefully on June 7, 2019 with her family by her side.
