Journal entry by Hillary Parson

Good evening y’all

MOM IS HOME!

She got to bust out a day early. We didn’t argue lol.  The finally determined that mom is allergic to the dye contrast you get for a ct scan. Which she got while in Hudson er. That’s what caused all the issues this week. She never had and infection like they thought. The reaction to the dye and her regular health condition it just caused the blood work to show like it was because she was in anaphylactic shock.
Before the dye moms symptoms were most likely due to her fluid levels. They are not able to say 100% that it was since things escalated so quickly Sunday night. But we can make the safe assumption that’s what caused the light headed and low bp.  Either way we are just thankful it wasn’t anything more than what it was. It was stressful enough this week.

In other news moms heart function went from 25% to 29% since she started heart meds over the last 5 months. She was also approved for a monitoring device that will be implanted in her arteries and they can see moms fluid levels 24/7.  This is a god send for us because moms fluid levels rise so fast that at times it only takes 24 hours and she’s full. Which than lands her in the er. With us living in Wisconsin and her cardiologist in Minnesota there’s a licensing issue. So instead of sending mom on her way to find a Wisconsin doctor. Her cardiologist and two nurses are currently getting their Wisconsin license! I mean come on! You can’t find a better doctor ! She is awesome!

So as we have learned through this from day one. There is always silvering lining we just need to remain calm and patient.

We can’t get through these times without each of you. We truly do appreciate you all and can’t thank you all enough for the prayers and encouraging words!
