Journal entry by Dawn Anderson

Marguerite 'Tootie' Dillon Dillon, Marguerite "Tootie" age 95 of Bloomington, passed away 1/30/24. She was born to Henry and Bertha Roufs. She had three older brothers - Bud, Bob and Ken - who adored her. She grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and married her childhood sweetheart, Dave Dillon. They moved to Bloomington where they raised five children - Denice (Hubie) Widmer, Dan Dillon, Kay (Bob) Jones, David (Gina) Dillon and Dawn (Pete) Anderson. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren - Jenny (Barton), Jocey (James), Jamie (Eric), Jake (Molly), Matt, Willson, Chelsea (Joe), Tony (Carmen), Nic (Reyna), Ally, Grace, Taylor, Lydia, Lucas, Clayton, Avery, Kaden, Amelia, Marguerite, Mason, Ben, Finn, Charlie, Lottie, Henry and numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. Mom had a way of making each one feel like they were the most important person in the room. She worked full time for the Bloomington School District and part time for the Vikings, Twins, Target Center, Kicks and many other ticket selling jobs while still managing to get to all our activities. She loved meeting people and hearing their stories. Her boundless energy was matched only by her strong faith, knowing that she was loved by God and that everything would be okay even when it didn't seem like it. She volunteered and showed us that giving back was important. Well done, good and faithful servant! A funeral service will be held at Bloomington Covenant Church on Saturday, 2/17/24, at 10:30 am with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Bloomington Covenant Church, 10150 Xerxes Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431.
