Journal entry by Terry Womac —
Following our discharge from MDA a week ago on Saturday, we were scheduled for a meeting on Wednesday with our lead OBGyn Oncologist . We were hoping to discuss a "couple of options" concerning further treatment options, including chemo to fight the lesions causing the blockage in the small intestine. Unfortunately, we discussed the recent CT Scan taken during Margo's hospitalization which showed additional areas of blockage contributing to the ongoing nausea and vomiting. We were then told that because of Margo's weakened condition, MDA could not recommend further Chemo. When asked if there was anything that could be done to regain strength to receive chemo, the answer was a disappointing "no". We were then advised that MDA had nothing further to offer to Margo in terms of additional treatment, and that we should gather as a family and make the best of the circumstances. As you can imagine, we were devastated, but we also know Who is ultimately in control, and we are continuing to lean on Him. We are looking at our alternatives and seeking the Lord's guidance as we remain in this fight. As our friends and prayer warriors, we are asking you to come alongside us as we seek His will and total healing.
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14
His and yours,
Margo & Terry
