Margie, Jan and Mya’s Story

Site created on July 17, 2022

On Thursday, July 14th, Margie, Jan, and Mya were leaving the lakes to meet up with Margie's sister to enjoy the Downtown Fargo Street Fair when they  were involved in a car accident. All 3 were rushed to Sanford Hospital and hospitalized.

We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, continued prayers, and words of encouragement as we navigate through this difficult time.

Thank you-

Journal entry by Suzy Stenehjem

A quick update as we work through the "gray-zone" with mom's health.

Following a CT Scan and MRI, the doctor's identified that mom was not having vasospasms - Good News!  Then a few minutes later or what may seem like seconds, we experience a set back.  Mom's health condition continues to decline and day 14 of intubation is approaching.

Mom will also go in for a CT Scan again this evening.  This will hopefully allow Tim & I to understand if any changes have occurred with her brain injury.  Mom's eyes do open wide when we talk and/or ask a question.  This gives us hope but we are seeing a decline in your movement now on the Right Side.

As I walked  back in to her room this evening, I took a deep breath and joined hands with mom and a very special friend and said the Lord's prayer.  - AMEN.
