Journal entry by Lisa Falvy —
Ok. Pump the brakes. Once mom was transferred to TMC, which has a much more sophisticated cardiac unit, the evaluation has changed.
Margee is quite stable now using only a nasal cannula. Wendy and I are with her now and we’ve spoken to two doctors. She remains in ICU, but she is in the process of being transferred to the cardiac floor.
She had an ECHO this am, which does not show any deficiencies in her new valve. Yes, we are slightly confounded! Tomorrow she will speak with her original surgeon, and understand more of what is going on.
She had a fair amount of fluid removed which seemed to positively assist her breathing.
She has asked me to no longer give updates on this page regarding her status.
So with that, know mom is stable, independently thinking, and very grateful for all of your well wishes.
With love and gratitude,
Lisa
