Margaret’s Story

Site created on December 22, 2018

Hi everyone, just thought this would be easier to keep everyone updated. I hate sending out “those” kind of text, as I do t know everyones schedule and hope I haven’t upset anyone getting updates while st work or whatever, so here, you can check in on Grammy when it’s best for you. As always I’m going to keep it real.
Today, December 22, GG is on hospice and has Alzheimer’s. This last month has been a real roller coaster. We thought for sure we were going to lose her thanksgiving weekend, but to our delight that sweet spunky lil Grammy of ours got out of bed that Sunday and didn’t remember being in bed for 2 days. We were gifted some more time with her. The following weekend she was so sweet, hugging Bud a few times, thanking me & Rita for taking such good care of her, telling us she didn’t know what she’d do without my mom, Linda. I thought for sure she was saying goodbye. But again she kept us on our toes, woke up the next morning like nobody’s business(yeah). Now since the beginning of December she has gone days without eating or waking up, then poof, she’s up and out of bed. Just love her spunk. She’s told the nurses that mom,(Linda) is just a worry wart, and that she was just fine. God bless her.
Grandma Margie was happy to see her sister Barb, a few weeks ago, and it was a blessing seeing them two together. She’s been blessed to have lots of visitors this year.
But now...I don’t even know that I want her to get out of bed, I believe the beginning of the end is near, and wanted y’all to know.
