Sign In to Show Your SupportIt's May-cember for all those with school-aged kids. May-cember is all the busyness of December without the fun sparkly lights or nostalgic music.
But that also means there are a lot of fun things going on to celebrate: soccer, band concerts, track, swimming, birthday, Mother's Day, and PET scan.
Opal is a force on the soccer field and so much fun to watch play.
Bradley just finished his first season of track. It was hard work but he improved so much with his favorite being to run the 4x400 relay.
I turned 39 last week. We are already scheming a big party for 40...and be prepared, there will be dancing.
We kept things low-key for Mother's Day. I had my scan the next day and just needed some space to be and time with Mason and the kids.
We got PET results yesterday and they are amazing!
The summary says:
1. Near complete resolution of activity in the previously noted metabolically active focus of uptake in the right sacrum. (This means the radiation to my spine in February worked. Radiation leaves some residual "glowing" for awhile.)
2. No new findings. (They don't see tumors or anything suspicious!)
I’ll continue my chemo/immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks.
Off to plan the summer, relax, and celebrate!
Please note there is a “tribute” page on Caring Bridge that we can’t turn off. We really appreciate the donations so far however we have more than enough to continue communication. The donations here go to CaringBridge, not to Mason and me.
