It is with a heavy heart I share that my mother, Marcia, passed away this morning shortly after 7am. I had been staying with her and she was alert and talkative when I woke up. Not long after she complained she felt dizzy. She passed not long after with Drew and me by her side. 

Mom started to decline rapidly this past Friday. She became increasingly weak and was not able to eat much, if at all. For all of you who texted and called over the weekend, I can assure you she saw your texts and voicemails. She just did not have the strength to pick up or respond. 

Due to restrictions of COVID-19 we will not be having funeral services at this time. When it is safe, we will have a service here in Ankeny. I wish we could have it now, as I could really use all your hugs and shoulders to cry on. 

I can't express how wonderful each and every one of you have been towards me and my mother. My mother truly appreciated all the outpouring of love and kindness you all showed her. She never expected you all to care the way you did. She felt so loved these last 4 months.
