I had a post mastectomy camisole fitting.  It wasn't as emotional as I thought. But I think some of that may have been that the lady who helped was new and very uninformed, and I was getting frustrated.  She'd ask how the fit felt, and I would ask how it's supposed to feel. Snug? Loose? And she really didn't know.  I am a question asker, and I couldn't get my questions on.

I did make her show me the prosthesis options.  And she kept saying customers were really satisfied with the look.  And I had a hard time with that phrase, can I be deeply satisfied with this forlorn, depressing little object, that seems like a distant relation to a stress ball?  

My friend Becky came with me, as my emotional support friend.  I wanted to give my Mom a break, before THE surgery. Afterwards we stopped at a diner.  But exchanging stories and experiences was a nice way to make the time pass, since the closest store is all the way in Grants Pass.

One less appointment and hurtle to check off the list.
