Journal entry by Jenna Hinze —
So I’ve had numerous text messages, phone calls and emails over the last few days. Again, we are sorry if we haven’t responded to all of you. Honestly, we are just trying to get back to our “normal”, get our laundry done, help Brooklyn with her homework, carpool, Morgan back to work.....ya know the crap we need to get done.
So I am happy to share how amazing Maddison is doing, she truly is the STRONGEST little girl we know. Almost daily she receives a beautiful card, visit from friends and family and oh lord let’s not forget about all the presents!
Madd’s is getting back into her routine, getting up alone, making her own breakfast aka protein bar, watching her cartoons!
If you didn’t know her and saw her today for the first time you would have no idea what she had just endured last week.
So, one thing we were hoping for, for her was that her migraines would have been related to her heart condition. We found almost immediately that that this was not going to be the case. In 4 days she had 3 excruciatingly painful ones, one which landed her and I making a bed by the toilet for hours.
All in all, Morgan and I couldn’t be happier with Maddison’s recovery, she is just so amazing ❤️
I know I have said this time and time again on this update page but we CANNOT THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING. We truly believe in the power of prayer and without all of you by our side I’m not sure if Morgan and I could have dealt with it had we not had each and everyone of you.
