It has come and gone...in a flash.  All she has lost, regained, fought for, pushed through...

First Prom.

Then Soccer.

And the finale...Graduation.

For most is it a milestone marked with academic and athletic accomplishments.  Letting go of high school and looking ahead to the next chapter.  But from my perspective for Macy it felt like a weird cramming of getting to this point due to the days that have followed that fateful day back in February.  A day like most and at that point feeling like we were on a steady path of success and had a good grip on what the future had in store.  Back then getting fully registered for Rad Tech at NCC for this coming fall and completing the FAFSA were my big February check boxes.

Screeching halt.

I can almost hear it happening in my brain.  Let's just say God wanted that put on the back burner.  God wanted to show us that maybe our plans weren't inline with his.

It was at the end of April  trying to finalize a CNA course registration for this summer in thr midst of an overwhelming push to get all caught up for her to graduate without withdrawing from her spring course load or failing them. Senioritis was no option for Macy.  She was seeing her friends having more free time and laid back attitudes while she was anxious, running out of time and definitely out of breath.

Exhausted.

Not the same type as if your recovering or healing after a hospitalization.  More like complete mental exhaustion.  On top of her heavy study schedule she was on track to possibly play in one or two soccer games in May.  Wow God.  I still can't believe I just said that.  But it I did and it actually happen.  I know the team didn't win the games but it was a huge win that she was able to participate.

Participate.

Another word that no one should take advantage of.  If you are a part of something great than yourself, like a team, don't waste an opportunity to be the best version of yourself to influence others to be the best versions of themselves. You can generalize the word to be as basic as showing up, but let me tell you not to come in like that.  You GET to participate.   Make the most of it to prove yourself worthy.

What's next?

I'm still holding on to glorifying the awesome God who got us to this day. Graduation day.  I  will admit that I just wanted to hold on and pause so many times today.

With all of the work put in to graduate with honors on all of her high school courses, Macy was granted extensions for her three college courses from this sprint semester to complete during the summer months.  This would have been plenty but she also has lifeguarding on top of that and a CNA course that would be required to take before she could start in NCCs radiology technician program.

We have prayed about it and it has been decided that the CNA course will be taken this fall and rad tech would be pushed to the fall of 2025. God willing.

God willing.

We are trying to stay in step with God's plans and that it will be made clear to Macy her path she needs to take. In the months and years to come.  Praying she can catch her breath  and let go and let God be in control. In the mean time we worship the One who takes care of us stupid sheep...

"It is Well"

So let go my soul and trust in Him, the waves and wind still know his name

It is well with my soul

And thru it all, thru it all, my eyes are on You; and it is well with me

"Lead On Good Shepherd" (bridge)

Step by step, day by day. Lead me on LORD I pray. Road gets dark, walk by faith. Lead on Good Shepherd
