Mackenzie Lillian Walker born November 14, 2023 came into The Walker Family just 9 days later. She has touched so many people with her sweet sweet face.
Mackenzie Lillian Walker, in your short 4.5 months you have touched so many and are a blessing to everyone you have met. On February 2, 2024 you were admitted to the hospital and as of today you are still there. You have fought a hard fight. You've fought off the virus, pneumonia, sepsis, seizures and have grown so much in over 2 months in the PICU.
We were all looking forward to you coming home to be spoiled by your big brothers but God has other plans for you.
On Thursday, April 4, the unexpected happened and our hearts have been broken. Mack turned for the worse and was intubated again early Thursday morning. Later that morning we learned that Mack has an underlying Nuerological Disease which is causing her brain to not work properly. Her brain does not tell her to breathe.
When Mack is not having any seizures her brain activity is very suppressed with very little activity. In addition, she will not be able to talk, walk or engage. She will be just "here".
Tomorrow they will be letting their boys know that their baby sister will not be coming home.

This Thursday, April 11th, Jason and Jackie's Pastor will be going to the hospital to Anoint and Dedicate Mack to God. As you can imagine the next few days are going to be hard on our Walker Family so please give them the space and privacy they will need to go thru a process that no parent should ever go thru.
