Journal entry by Morgan Croaker —
Greetings Family and Friends!
After finishing my radiation and first round of chemo, I had a month-long rest from medications, which was really nice. Mike and I decided to take a vacation during my time off, so we travelled to Utah to tour the Mighty Five National Parks. We took our camper van and lived out of it for the 12 days that we were gone. Utah has some beautiful country: the parks were absolutely amazing, and we were able to go on some fun hikes.
After our return, it was back to reality which started with an MRI to establish my new baseline since treatment. The MRI looked pretty good overall; there are just a couple spots to keep an eye on going forward. I have started a second round of chemo where I take meds for five days (at a doubled dose), rest for three weeks; then repeat for the next six months. I finished the first cycle, and I am feeling good so far. And that is my prayer that I will tolerate this round as well as the first round and that it will eradicate those remaining spots.
Thank you for your kind words, encouraging thoughts and prayers. I appreciate all of it so much!
Love,
Lynda
