Hello Everyone.

My Mom asked me to send an update this evening.  She had a small setback.  Her knee and hip were hurting last weekend.  The pain in her right side made it nearly impossible for her to transfer in her apartment.  She decided to go to the Emergency Room to have it looked at.  The Doctors attribute the pain to arthritis, osteoporosis, and possibly bone on bone contact in the hip.

To be safe she was admitted to Missouri Baptist Hospital.  She stayed there 3 nights.  Tuesday this week she was transferred back to Friendship Village in Sunset Hills and was admitted into the Rehab / Skilled Care part of the campus.  She will be staying in a room within skilled care for the time being.  We hope to no more about plans and timelines later this week.

Even though this is a small setback, Mom is aware of the tremendous progress she has made.  We are confident w. the help of the medical staff, some rest and therapy; Mom will be back in her apartment in no time. 

She wanted me to also wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  She helped us pick the menu tomorrow and we will be eating our feast w. her @ Friendship Village
