Journal entry by Alan Moore —
Well, it finally happened! Originally, very naively, I had scheduled us to share our journey of Lynda's battle with cancer, for our Senior Adult Ministry's Third Thursday in January. Upon realizing that was a bit premature, we were able to postpone to March, before the Spring calendar was published. Then her transplant continued to be delayed well into February so yet another postponement was in order and we moved to April. And, on Thursday, April 18th, we were finally able to do it. Lynda looked beautiful and was strong enough to spend about 45 minutes sharing her heart of how God has worked so faithfully through this very difficult season of our lives. Once I receive the link, I'll post it on Facebook and anywhere else it is shareable. Our dear friend, Rick Briscoe came and blessed us with the song he wrote, "I'll Trust You Lord", which he sang to Lynda while visiting her in the hospital back in September. Powerful!!
We had the highest ever Third Thursday attendance and were glad to finally get to express our sincere appreciation to our senior adults at Prestonwood who have loved and cared for us so very well these past several months. What a huge blessing our Church family has been, both at Prestonwood, and literally around the globe.
God is good!!
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Lynda's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
