Lynda’s Story

Site created on August 18, 2018

On July 20, 2018, Lynda was diagnosed with a large, invasive, aggressive brain tumor - a grade four glioblastoma. While she had noticed a few unusual symptoms during the previous weeks, this diagnosis brought great surprise and sadness to Lynda and our family. But we trust and that no part of Lynda's story has ever been a surprise to God, who called her before the foundation of the world to be His through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3-6) and who is knowing and present in every aspect of her life (Psalm 139:1-12). The journal entries below are meant to give updates on Lynda's health, to encourage her friends and family to pray for her, and to give regular reminders of God's good presence even in these hard days.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Matt Fray

We have some updated information to share regarding mom’s memorial service. The date, time, and location are all the same, but to help manage capacity the church is now asking all attendees to RSVP. Also, the link for the livestream has been updated. Please see the details below.

Mom’s memorial service will be held on Monday, September 21, at 4pm at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (4124 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, TX). We arranged to have the service in the late afternoon so that children and their families could attend following school. The service will also be live-streamed at www.pcpc.org/fray

Please note that current health guidelines mean that the church has a limited capacity. To help us plan, please RSVP for the service by going to www.pcpc.org/fray. All attendees will be also be required to wear masks and practice appropriate social distancing.
