Journal entry by Lynai T

The abdominal drain had to be replaced and hopefully it is in the right spot now.
I go in for another CT scan on the 21st, as my liver area is once again tender, and I'm having returning symptoms of a compromised liver (clay colored stools, chills, bloating, feeling full after a few bites of food and liver area tenderness).
There is a suspicion that my bile duct may be blocked (again) and I'll be referred back to the Mayo GI team for treatment...I have been working with the Infectious Disease department post surgery to get the infection under control.
My poor liver is doing it's best, but it is definitely on the struggle bus.  Good news is the infection is under control and we are catching the liver issue hopefully before it goes septic again...so there is that and the fact that this ISN'T CANCER...YAY!!! 😍 🙏  Still celebrating that early Christmas present ..Woot woot! 😁
