We wanted to thank everyone again for their thoughts, support, and prayers.

We have not been updating often because Luke had been improving slowly, but steadily for a week or two. On Friday, Luke started to experience tightness in his mid-section and was lethargic.  To be careful, Kenzie took him to the U of MN emergency room where they admitted Luke for testing.  Unfortunately, the situation turned grave very quickly. Luke passed away peacefully with his family present early Saturday evening. He experienced what they termed a total organ failure.

To follow Luke’s wishes there will only be a small family funeral. Luke loved children and was a gentle giant with them. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a children’s charity of your choice in Luke’s name.
