With just a few bumps in the three weeks since he’s been home, Luke is gaining more strength and endurance each day. Still doing dialysis three days a week, but his numbers continue to improve. We hope this is his last week with that.
Luke started radiation on the tumor near his esophagus yesterday. Will have a total of 5 sessions, with the last one on Tuesday. Luke also had an appointment with his cardiologist yesterday, dr Anderson thinks his high blood pressure was caused by the tumors, and took Luke off one of his medications. We had wondered if there was a connection between the two. Sure enough.
Luke continues to hold on to his positive outlook. It’s sure helping that he is able to get out and about a bit more. In between this morning’s radiation and this afternoon’s dialysis, he is going to wander around downtown. Most likely coffee at wild hare, a stop at watermark art center and a visit with Laura at her office there, and lunch at table for 7.
And maybe another fire in the yard tonight. Not so bad, right?
